10.16.25 Sorry for a Silent September

Sorry I was silent in September, I was experiencing a huge wave of tumultuous change. September was a very difficult month for me. There was turbulence in more than one aspect of my life. I work as an assistant at a veterinary practice. Two of our doctors went on medical leave the staff was restructured. I was given a position with more responsibility, without a raise unfortunately as I am still in school working towards my veterinary technician license.

Despite the thickening of the weeds I am still trudging through the terrain cutting my path. I have been steadily recording the first Glass Aeros album with my band, playing shows, and working on the visual art that will accompany the music.

If you’ve been following my story you know I had to move out of my professional studio space at the end of June this year. The space I was renting was expensive and the building had issues that made it challenging to work in. When I moved out I did not have a lot of time. I crammed everything into nooks and crannies in my home. For months I was juggling recording, shows, school, and work. My daily grind left little time to reestablish my workspace.

This past weekend was my first weekend without a recording session or show, this allowed me to take some time to start settling into my basement. I rent and the basement is not finished. I had to do a lot of cleaning. I installed some interlocking foam mats to make the space more comfortable. There isn’t a lot of lighting, so that’s on my to do list.

Overall I have begun work on some props for the music videos. I am trying to complete them to start shooting before fall ends.

Recoding is going very well, we are taking it slow. It takes a while to save up for each session and align our availabilities. I will be planning the release rollout soon. It is difficult to build a timeline at this stage. I’m hoping to finish the vocals by next month as I continue the art production.

Thank you for being along for the ride! I’m so glad you are here!

Stay tuned for more!
