Glass Aeros First Live Performance 7.13.2021

After living like a recluse during the pandemic of 2020 I was excited to see the local music scene reemerge and I couldn’t wait to be part of it. I had never played a live show, I used to be in orchestras in school but this was a completely new experience.

I chose the Winchester Tavern in Lakewood’s open mic night to embark on my maiden voyage as a performing artist. Thankfully, my husband, Ian, was there to support me. My talented friend Mikey Silas, was performing with the featured band, The Best Band Ever. The environment was welcoming yet I was feeling the first-time jitters especially after witnessing so many gifted artists.

I was 7th in line and I played two of the songs off of my EP, Sunset Revelations, that was released in February of 2021. I played an acoustic version of The Beast and Meridian.

It felt amazing to be on stage for the first time, especially after I worked so hard during the isolation times, to finally open up and share my songs. This emotion grew my excitement and confidence. Now I’m eager to perform again! I can’t wait to look back to this day and see how much I have grown.
