Following my first open mic performance I was athirst to be on stage again. The next day I woke up inspired to prepare a set with my electric gear for the first time. I decided to use my seafoam green Epiphone S-310. Recently I had it restored to its former glory and it was ready to come out and play . I paired my 90s era guitar with a Big Muff Op Amp and Boss Katana MKII amp.

That evening I returned to Lakewood, Ohio to perform at The Avenue Tap House Open Mic night hosted by Danny Shipley. This was the inaugural evening of this weekly open mic event. I was enthusiastic to be a part of it.

The moment I saw the stage I knew it would be a special night. The stage was directly behind the bar with the taps lining the edge. I couldn’t wait to get up there and look out into the crowd.

I took the 7th spot, I felt it was my lucky number since I was the seventh to perform at my first open mic night. This time I was able to play my EP, Sunset Revelations, in its entirety.

I was granted the opportunity to play with a drummer, Nate Oliver. I had never played with a drummer before and it was all improvised in the moment. We received compliments after my set and I was grateful for the collaboration.

The night was packed with talented artists. I am looking forward to next time!
